Local Area Information

Within an area that you will find comfortable, safe and beautiful.  There are bus stops close by and available taxi's meaning that you don't have to rely on hiring a car.  There are bike rentals which is a perfect way to get about especially as there is a bicycle track adjacent to the promenade that will take you from one end of the resort: Playa Serena to Aquadulce (approx 8 miles).  With many bars and restaurants along the way.  In between there is also the old Fort which holds many fayres and events.  There is also the Marina where you can see the little fish swim in the clear water.  There are boat trips taking you out in glass bottom boats and even to visit a local fish farm.

Other ways to view the area is by the Roquetren which can be picked up at various points around the resort and if you fancy more pedal power there are bicycle carts which can be fun and tiring or hire other motorised scooters or buggies

The Zoo in the mountains must be visited and also the Wild West village which is on the same site.  Take your swimming costume as in the summer months it is pretty warm up there.

Those of you who enjoy a game of golf or two will be spoilt by the choice that is also nearby.

Dotted along the beach at various intervals are children's play areas and there are exercise machine available too along the promenade which is used to stroll and take in the beautiful surroundings or to get your heart pumping as you take a brisk walk or jog.

There is a weekly market up by the Gran Plaza where there are a variety of stalls selling clothes, material and local produce.  A super place to pick up a bargain or a warm chicken for lunch.

The Gran Plaza is bustling with shops, restaurants, a supermarket, a bowling alley, a cinema to name a few.
